Here’s how to cook “Gulay na Maiz”
Ingredients:
1 cup butter
2 cloves onion, chopped
100 grams celery, chopped
whipping cream
1 can evaporated milk
500 gms. corn.
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup cornstarch with water soup stock
Directions:
Grate the corn kernels. Saute in butter, add chopped onions and celery. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add the soup stock and mix with evaporated milk and whipped cream. Season with salt and pepper. Add cornstarch to thicken the soup. Pour in a serving bowl and serve hot.

Ingredients :
1 cup malunggay leaves/ squash leaves/saluyot
1 cup squash, cubed
1 cup stringbeans or eggplant, cut into 2″
1 cup okra (lady finger) cut into 2 pcs.
1/2 onion
1 cup water
tomatoes
bagoong
Here’s how to cook bulanglang :
Mix tomatoes, onion, okra, stringbeans and squash in a deep sauce pan or pot. Add water and boil. When the veggies are almost tender, add malunggay and cook 2 minutes longer or until malunggay leaves are wilted. Remove from heat. add bagoong to taste Garnish with tomatoes and Serve with hot rice. Perfect with fried fish or tinapa.
